Getting to know you

Before you start on a journey we think it’s a good idea to know where you are going. So we always spend some time getting to know a new business and the people in it. That way you can explain where you want to go. And we can start planning how to help you get there.

It usually begins with a chat on the phone, a chance for us to get to know you and the plans you have for your business. The next step is usually a couple of meetings.

The first meeting is an opportunity for you to get to know us and how we would approach your project. It’s also an opportunity for us to learn about your business. We’ll talk about what you want to achieve, the budget, the timescale and who will be involved in the project.

At the second meeting, usually a week or so later, we’ll talk you through the proposal we’ve written. This will explain what our approach will be , what the project will cover and what the cost will be. You can ask us any questions you might have, so that you are absolutely clear about what the project will involve. At the end of that meeting you’ll be in a position to make a decision about whether you think working with Alder and Alder is right for you.

Sometimes people don’t want to meet, or even talk. They just want a price. If a company isn’t interested in taking the time to talk to us about their project, then we’re not the right people for them to work with. We can only do our job well when we’ve got a good relationship with our clients. And a good relationship starts with a conversation. If you’d like to have a chat, do give us a call.
